Emma Freedman . . . . Clover’s Ambassador

We are very excited and thrilled to announce Emma Freedman as our Ambassador.

 Emma, who most of you would know from David Jones and the weekend weather girl for The Today Show on Channel 9 has been a client of Clover’s for years. We love Emma and are delighted to have her on board. Follow Emma’s journey as she contributes each month to our website. I think you’ll all agree her first piece is just a crack up and so very true . . . . well I certainly related . .  in fact I’m still waiting!!!!!..

 Emma’s Journey – December 2010

 I’ve got to admit, quite simply and honestly, that I was an awkward teenager. Terribly awkward in fact. I had most of the tell tale signs; the pale skin that never seems to flatter, the puppy fat in all the wrong places, the skin breakouts that caused me to have gigantic meltdowns before going to sweet sixteenths. I just couldn’t wait to grow up. Maybe grow a bit taller, suddenly develop a permanent deep olive tan, perhaps magically transform into some super model being with enviable assets and banished cellulite and stretch marks. In my twisted teenage mind, I was sure it would all happen when I came ‘of age’. It just had to. The universe clearly owed me that for all the wishing, praying and hoping I had done. 

 And then I turned 18, and the first big Uni Ball was just around the corner. Nothing. Sorry? What was going on? Where were those legs I yearned for? Why was my skin still vampire-esque? This simply wasn’t the deal. 

 After sitting myself down, completely horrified that the heavens above hadn’t granted me my totally achievable Birthday wishes, and contemplating my options for all of four minutes, I decided if magic wasn’t on my side then I would have to take matters into my own hands. 

 So, I found Clover. Was this lady called Jane my guardian angel? After a few hours of primping and perfecting – the best spray tan on earth, a cleansing facial, tinting of my lashes and the use of most of the wax that Melbourne had in stock – what a change. My life would never be the same. 

 Over the past four years, I’ve learnt that the tone of my skin will never change. How ridiculously unfair! But I’ve also learnt that Jane’s team at Clover Beauty are the best in the biz of making me look, and feel my best. Even if she can’t solve my leg length complex! 

 If I have a first piece of advice to anyone in these monthly writings it would be this. If you ever have one of those horrid ‘fat’ days when you think you look hideous in everything in sight, get one of Clover’s spray tans. It’s that easy.
